If you have yet to download or go and buy the boxed version of Half Life 2: Episode 1, then what is wrong with you? Seriously, this is the PC gaming event of the year so far, and it's out in stores today or to download on Steam.

If you haven't played Half-Life 2 then you really did miss out. We'd actually recommend going back any playing through that title first, should you have a spare few days of time to commit to it. It really is one of the greatest, if not the greatest PC game of all time (we can argue about that till the cows come home! - Ed).

However, Half-Life 2: Episode 1 is a stand alone game, and doesn't require you to have played Half-Life 2. Though to SPOnG this sound a bit like saying you will enjoy Return of the Jedi even if you haven't seen the first two Star Wars movies. But we digress.
