There's little movement at the top of the All Formats Chart as supplied by ChartTrack this week, with Eidos Interactive’s superb Hitman: Blood Money holding on to the number one slot for a second week running, managing to deflect all attempts - and admirably so, in the week before the tournament starts for real - from EA’s 2006 FIFA World Cup, which remains at number two this week. It’s a good week again for Eidos, with Tomb Raider: Legend clambering back two places up the chart to number three this week, whilst Konami’s reduced price Pro Evolution Soccer 5 drops one spot to number four. If anybody reading still does not own a copy of Pro Evo 5, then please do yourself and all your gamer friends a massive favour and go out and buy it.

Activision’s movie cash cow, X-Men: The Official Game climbs one place up to number five this week whilst Nintendo’s cutesy collect-a-thon Animal Crossing: Wild World actually climbs up the chart one spot to number six, which is a great result for Nintendo’s marketing team. SPOnG congratulates it on doing a superlative job marketing this superb and unique game. Again, if you own a DS, you need to own Animal Crossing: Wild World. No excuses. The Sims 2 climbs three places up the chart this week, which gives EA an impressive three Sims titles in the All Formats Chart this week – with The Sims 2: Family Fun Stuff at number 15, and The Sims 2: Open for Business at 38.

And it’s a good week for Electronic Arts and Valve, with this week’s highest new entry being the latest in the Half Life saga, with Half Life 2: Episode One straight in at number eight. Read SPOnG’s hot-off-the-press review of this stunning game here. Note also that sales of Episode One in this chart do not include those sold via digital download service Steam.

Down the bottom end of this week’s top ten we have Rockstar’s zen-like Table Tennis falling five places to number nine and Eidos’ Championship Manager 2006, down one spot to 10. The only other new entry in the charts is Sony’s ‘Gran Turismo for motorbikes’, Tourist Trophy, straight in at 14.

In other chart news, it’s interesting to see the emergence of a new PSP budget chart this week, which shows the continuing healthy sales of titles such as Formula 1 Grand Prix, Lumines and Midway Arcade Treasures (numbers one to three respectively), ensuring that PSP software sales in the UK remain a good step ahead of DS game sales.
