Half Life 2: Episode 2 - Portal video inside

Free additional game. First look right here.

We told you all about the superb news that is Half-Life 2: Episode 2 last week.

With the series heading to PS3 and 360 for a simultaneous release alongside the PC version, and set to hit next gen consoles complete with the entire Half-Life 2 original game and Episode One, PLUS (if all that wasn't enough) not one, but two additional games, there is soon going to be no excuse for any self-respecting gamer to have not played this all-time classic.

The two additional games coming bundled in with Episode Two are a cool new cartoony-looking Team Fortress 2 and a totally new title called Portal, which is being billed as 'an experimental puzzle FPS where your gun shoots portals, allowing for an entirely new way to interact with environments and enemies'.

"What the?" we first thought, when we heard about Portal.

The game promises to totally do away with traditional concepts of level design as you find and enter big old holes in time and space that transport you to different locations.

Check the just-released trailer here to get a better taster of what Portal is all about:

MPEG4 XviD (21.4MB)
Windows Media (18.4MB)

Expect to be hearing a lot more about Half-Life 2: Episode 2 over the coming months. SPOnG is hoping and praying for a late 2006 release, so as soon as Valve confirms this news (fingers crossed) we will be sure to let you know.

F**k my cat (any one of them, take your pick!) , that looks awesome!

To all those whingers who keep going on about the lack of creativity in video-games*. Check this video out and then STFU.

* I am one of those whingers. I'm going to STFU now.

Yep, have to say I'm looking forward to Portal now.

Ten minutes ago I was like "what?" and now I'm all "when?"

Dude, your lucidity and eloquence are, like, interstella. It's as if Shakespeare walks amongst us. right now. Forgive me if I appropriate that and pretend it's my own. It's a big improvement on my typical, "I was all, like 'Dude', and now, I'm like, totally, 'Whoa! or something'"

You flatter me Mr. Todd, I hadn't intended to intrude upon your own well-defined mode of language. In my mind I was more in line with Fry of Futurama than I was with the Ted.
