Trauma Center: Second Opinion – Confirmed for Wii Launch
Ooh doctor! Is that a defibrillator in your pocket?
Posted 28 Jul 2006

Reports this week emanating from Japanese gaming bible Famitsu have highlighted that Atlus’ Trauma Center: Second Opinion is to be a remake of DS title, Trauma Center: Under the Knife. The game has also been confirmed as a Wii launch title for North America.
There was some initial concern that the title was not going to be entirely new when this news was first received, although Atlus has assured fans that whilst the title is based on the DS game, it will make full use of the WiiMote and be jam-packed with better graphics (obv! – Ed) more characters, more frightening surgical tools and much-improved audio and voice-overs.
There has also been talk of an add-on defibrillator pad! That's not been confirmed at time of going to press though...
We first told you all about Trauma Center: Second Opinion back in May, and it’s superb news that US gamers will be able to play the game this autumn/winter.
We’ve just put in a call to Nintendo UK to find out about plans for the title in Europe, so watch this space for a news update shortly.

Bloody excellent news! Just what the Wii needs to define it from the other consoles and a great launch title to have next to Red Steel.
I pray to god TC shifts loads because then it might get some interesting and hopefully positive reviews from the mainstream press which is what gaming needs. Maybe that dude from Arena mag should have a go too.
