Yoshi's Island DS: Artwork and New Info
Carry Nintendo babies, throw eggs...you know the kind of thing.
Posted 5 Oct 2006

In case you had forgotten, Nintendo plans to release the sequel to one of the greatest 2D platformers of all time in December on the DS.
That’s right, Yoshi’s Island DS is out on December 2 and it is without a doubt the third must-own DS title of 2006 (New Super Mario World and Metroid being the other two).
Whilst we bicker internally about the many other great DS titles that could feasibly make it into our ‘must-have’ list, check out the new character art from the game right here, which we just received from Nintendo.
The game is straightforward, classic Nintendo. Kamek has captured Baby Luigi, and Yoshi and his band of babies must ‘set out on a wild and colorful quest’ to rescue him.
From the accompanying release: “This time, Baby Mario, Baby DK, Baby Wario and Baby Peach are along for the ride…..[Yoshi] can swallow enemies, turn them into eggs, throw eggs and flutter jump. However, depending on the baby he's carrying, he also adopts new abilities. Baby Mario gives Yoshi the power of speed, while Baby DK gives him strength and the ability to climb vines. Baby Peach lets Yoshi float, and Baby Wario's giant magnet grabs metal items like coins.”
If you feel we should have included any other must-have DS titles of 2006 in our list, just let us know in the forum.

Naruto. And i hate to sound like an anime snob(read:Super nerd) but avoid the english translation at all costs, its fecking terrible. Plus they edit out all the violence and mess the story up a bit... and they gave him a terribel catch phrase! ugh.

i might check it out sometime, coming to the end of the recent The Guyver tv series remake :D
26 episodes this time, instead of a measly 12 first time round
its better and its worse than the original at the same time but im so hot for guyver action it doesnt matter if it has blatant flaws

Naruto is a lot to take in... get up on nearly 200 episodes now. Though only the first 150 are good. for the past year or so it's been filler untill the manage gets soem lead time. I think the newest movie coems out in japan this week so new episodes shoudl start to get back on course now (god willing).
Also, bleach is damn fine if you havent watched it alread, do so before the neglish one comes out. I think death note also aired its first episode this week. Managa is great so im real excited for the show. Be a good thing to get on ground level so you dont have to marathon it later (naruto was already on episode 120 or so when i satrted... watch it all in like 2 months).
