Are you a fan of pumping big, weird aliens full of killer laser beams? If so then you have probably been keenly awaiting Epic’s Gears of War – which is shaping up to be the 360 game for Xmas 2006.
You will be disappointed to hear that there is to be no Gears of War demo out before the game’s ‘emergence day’ on the 17th November.
Regarding the rumour of a pre-release demo, Rein posted on the official GoW forum, "It just isn't true. There is no demo coming out before the game ships and I have no idea if we'll do one after the game ships or not. Right now there are no plans to do one…”
Which is just a great shame really, as it is one of the greatest console game experiences known to mankind.
However, it gives us a good enough excuse to remind you that you are still going to have to buy the game when it comes out. And also to show you some more Gears of War screens.

SPOnG, it's time you updated your screenshot system my firends. I can no longer put up with these low-res thumbnails you call 'screenshots' - I can't stand idley by and let you do this to Gear of War...adding a simple 'next >>' and '<< previous' system would also be fab but, baby steps.

I got an e-mail from Game Stop yesterday indicating that they will be having an after-hours event showcasing Gears of War on October 21st.
Only gamers of majority age will be allowed in, so keep the kiddies at home. Oh, and sorry Spong, I'm getting the idea that it's a U.S. only kind of thing.
So even though there won't be an official demo floating around, there will be an event to show the title off.
