SPOnG’s just come off the phone with SEGA Europe who has confirmed with us that the next gen version of Sonic The Hedgehog (pictured here) will be released in Europe on the 17th November.

For a taster of what’s in store for Sonic fans on the 360 this coming Christmas check out the just-released trailer which, we are informed, is ‘representative of both the PS3 and 360 versions’ by clicking one of the links right here:

MPEG4 XviD (21.7M)
Quicktime (21.2M)
Windows Media (21.1M)

And of course you can check SPOnG’s Sonic The Hedgehog page for all the latest screens, art and info on the title.

Watch this space tomorrow for an exclusive SPOnG interview with the game’s producer, Nishiyama-san (also pictured here) who spills all on Sonic’s first outing on PS3 and 360.

I tried the demo on the Xbox 360 and could not get round the controls or the awful camera movements. I personally feel sonic was at its best in 2d form

Well i can't agree until I get my hands on it, but what the f**k are humans doing in the Mega Zone! There's no real people! Have him save some woodland creatures and make it normal again. I don't want this new, hip Sonic who save righteous babes. Sonic has always been cool.

That's just one man's opinion. Anyone agree?
