Spoof Wii Ad Takes Potshot at Sony

Wii ad copies Sony’s effort to make motion-control its own

A Nintendo fan spoofs Sony - or does she?
4 Dec 2006

You may remember the fairly impressive ‘rolling eggs’ advert from Sony, flagging the motion sensitivity of the SIXAXIS controller. If not you can see it again right below these words.

You can also see an even-more-impressive fan-made video spoofing Sony’s original ad. So, in a fit of self-references, a Nintendo fanboy makes an ad spoofing Sony’s advert meant to promote the motion-sensing control technology – an idea which Nintendo fanboys claim Sony ‘borrowed’ from Nintendo.

When we say, "fan" in this case, we're trusting that this isn't some Nintendo viral marketing of course - take a look at the 'spoof' below and tell us what you think on the forum.
