European figures for launch attendance.
Posted 16 Jan 2007

Attendance at launch events for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade were in excess of 8,250, a source at Vivendi has told SPOnG.
The rough figures indicate 2500-3000 gamers attended the London launch, 3000 in Paris, 750-1000 in Stockholm and 2000 in Germany. That puts the European total at somewhere between 8250 and 9000 gamers in attendance.
As we reported earlier, fans were turning up in bizarrely-dressed droves to be among the first to get their hands on the WoW expansion pack. Warriors, wizards and even girls queued up with feverish anticipation. SPOnG didn't want to point out that the game was readily available and in no real danger of shortages…
