Ubisoft Profits Up Due to War and Turtles
Wii-supporting French publisher does the business

Last financial year’s profits were in the region of €37.4 million ($50.9m), largely down to Ubisoft’s key franchises and licenses such as the recently released Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 and 1980s nostalgia-fest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, both of which have already shifted a million boxed discs since launch.
Ubisoft, alongside bigger fishes Electronic Arts and Activision, has been one of the key third party publishers to support Nintendo’s Wii from the off. SPOnG salutes them for their forward-thinking development strategy in this area.
Now if only they can improve the control mechanics a tad in the next Red Steel, they might just have something…

You have got to be kidding me...pumping out movie license tripe & down-right unplayable games on a system that's supposed to be revolutionizing the industry? I tell you what, the Wii line-up is the EMBODIMENT of what's wrong with the videogame industry. CHEAP CASH-INS.
I love Ubisoft and their past track record (although they've had some shaky ground recently with some EA'esque releases) but their Wii development should be anything BUT encouraged.
