Pick a Pot of Pocket Pool on DS
More tongue-twisting, cheeky urban slang for onanism inside
Posted 27 Apr 2007

SPOnG’s already updated you on Oxygen’s forthcoming pocket pool for DS title, 8Ball which is due out this coming July. And we’ve just been informed that System 3 is also set to release a handheld DS pool title this coming June, simply entitled Power Play Pool.
Power Play Pool (pictured) features an “ultra-realistic 3D engine” that literally “thrusts” players into the skilful world of championship pool. So, no messing around arguing over whose fifty pence piece is on the table in scummy pubs any more!
View the 3D action on the virtual baize on the DS’s top screen or the top-down view on the bottom screen, as you play UK or US rules, eight or nine ball pool or ‘killer’.
"This is a storming little game for the DS and I'm confident it will be a great success for us in 2007. We've seen from previous successes in the handheld market that games that offer something different really work and Power Play Pool hits the spot," said System 3’s UK Sales Manager, Luis Ferreira.
Multiplayer-wise you can play against a mate with another DS with only one copy of the game, which is pretty nifty.
SPOnG loves a bit of virtual pool, so we’ll be bringing you full previews of both Power Play Pool and Oxygen’s 8Ball in the very near future.

I've read reviews of Actua Pool on the DS which were not very nice. Reviews in the past of sports games and board games always seem to give lower scores than reviews of other types of games.
Always a bit unfair I feel.
