You may have heard that Sony's Home beta has started its roll-out across Europe today. And if you own a PS3, you maybe wondering why it is that you're not special enough to have been asked to join in. Well, get over yourself, put your paranoid angst to one side because here's why.

Sony does indeed hate you personally.

No, of course not. We've just spoken to the chaps at Sony in London and were assured that while the beta is indeed being 'played' or 'used' or 'lived in' or whatever it is that we're all going to do at Home, in Europe it's only being beta'd by Sony staff right now.

"Sure", we said, totally aware that we're, like, being so left out of it while all the cool people get to buy virtual condos, dress up dandy and generally have fun.

"No, really, it's just internal to Sony", we were assured. So, unless the company is telling us untruths, that's the actual facts of the matter.
