Here’s something – a new game announcement from Square-Enix that is nothing to do with the ever-growing Final Fantasy series. Or Kingdom Hearts or Dragon Quest for that matter!

That’s right The Last Remnant is a completely new RPG due to be released on PS3 and Xbox 360. What’s more the game is set to get a simultaneous release in the US and in Japan.

The game sounds very much like classic Sq-Enix role-playing, with a real time battle system in which you control large groups of troups. You can also summon up mythical beasts such as Cyclops and the like. Oh, you get the drift…
