Police Gunmen Attack Plastic Lara Croft
Dummy!

Our Lara today, "No comment!"
Now here’s something we don’t often see at SPOnG – a tabloid news story with a video game reference that doesn’t raise our hackles but makes us laugh deep, pleasurable belly-laughs instead.
Police gunmen ‘swooped’ on computer shop owner David Williams, 42, who they suspected of holding a dangerous firearm in his house. Luckily for Williams, he is a computer shop owner and not a Brazilian plumber.
Apparently, suspicions were raised when police were alerted to a gun-toting suspect in the front room. Shortly after, a group of armed officers burst into the suburban house, shouting at Mr Williams to surrender his weapon.
However, it turns out the gunman in question was actually a plastic, life-sized Lara Croft model – very much like the one we have on the stairs outside our office (pictured) – which Mr Williams was planning to sell on eBay.
Bizarrely Mr Williams was still held in cells for over 13 hours and is now on bail for a suspected firearms offence. Lara is being held by the cops!

You may remember that Tomb Raider Anniversary is out early next month on PC, PSP and PS2 and, following later in the year, on Nintendo's Wii.
