When SPOnG went over to Team17 to blow up some invertebrates recently we were impressed by the leaps the development team had made with the Worms franchise by bringing it online. As such, we felt duty-bound to bring you this new trailer pimping the multiplayer aspect of Open Warfare 2 when it hit our inbox earlier.

As well as showing off the online aspects of the handheld-exclusive title, the trailer also offers up a peep at a couple of new gameplay aspects SPOnG enjoyed mightily: fort mode and racing. To find out more have a gander over to SPOnG's Open Warfare 2 preview.

The little wrigglers have been a bit busy lately. Earlier today SPOnG informed you about new downloadable content coming to Worms on Xbox Live, now they're strutting their multiplayer stuff. SPOnG just hopes they're not too tired for us to turn them into skeletally-challenged worm slime when they hit the PSP and DS this summer.
