Beautiful Katamari: First Footage
Plus: The Prince to hit Xbox Live
Posted 18 Jun 2007

The first footage of Beautiful Katamari Damacy has rolled into the public domain. SPOnG has once again been found trying fruitlessly to roll the contents of the office into giant balls. Fearing that the problem may be spreading into the wider world, we've got the footage to provide a Katamari fix.
It has become apparent that Namco Bandai will be releasing the game over Xbox Live on October 26th. There's no word as to whether this means that the game won't hit retailers' shelves.
It's also unclear whether the game's arrival on Xbox Live, with no date given for the PS3, can be taken as confirmation of rumours originating with Newsweek's N'Gai Croll, that the game will be a 360 exclusive.
Further game details have also surfaced about 'Prince Town', Beautiful Katamari's hub. From there you'll be able to select your character from the Prince's eight playable cousins, as well as view your royal presents and save/load your game.
SPOnG suggests that we all stop worrying about the whole thing for the time being, and just enjoy the footage below.
