SPOnG’s team in Santa Monica will make like a tree and branch off, sending our crack (addled) squad on the ground to both events to make sure we are amongst the first to bring you all the Killzone 2 news, first impressions, screens and trailers you need.
While Sony UK is staying quiet on the nature of the event, the fact that numerous US media outlets have already received the invitation (with the image pictured here on the front) bearing the legend "Killzone 2 Invitation" clearly printed on it, strongly suggests to SPOnG that there may be some new Killzone 2 stuff going down at E3.
Like, duh!
Apparently Killzone 2, developed by Amsterdam-based Guerilla Games, is the most expensive entertainment project in Dutch history, with a whopping great budget in excess of $20 million (£10 million).
More on Killzone 2 as we get it.

Meh. $20 million isn't so bad. They didn't have to buy a license from anyone so it's all pumped into the game, unless SCE is offsetting some of the cost of buying the studio a few years ago. Promising for Killzone anyway. Lot to live up to from the last trialer they showed though...

Kiiiiinda churlish of Sony to fling money at developing a franchise that has had mediocre response from press and customers, just because everyone said they "Couldn't do it" after the infamous E3 video. Maybe churlish is the wrong word. They're trying to regain some honour and save face. Okay, I'v actually just argued myself over to the other side while typing this! lol!
Basically, I will be disappointed if the game doesn't come out looking exactly like the video.

hopefully this will be good. they do have a huge expectation to live up to, it was disappointing that the first killzone didn't live upto the hype.

lets hope the AI is not like sushi ie non existent like the first game, Guerilla Games have a lot to prove that they can actually create not just a great looking game but a game with AI that makes the game enjoyable
I think thye can do it, well i need something to justify my ps3 purchase

You can thank Official Playstation Magazine for kicking off the ridiculous hype that built up around Killzone - its writers were the daft fsckers that claimed it would be a Halo killer.
I quite enjoyed it - a feast for the eyes, but a bit linear. Not really any different from, say, Criterion's BLACK. I gave up when I couldn't get past a bunch of snipers. Perhaps I should have selected a different character to tackle that level...

Sony is again hyping everything up. That's their biggest mistake because they never deliver.

At anonymous,
Look who's talking. MIcro$oft hyped up halo 3 and the game turned out to be a disappointment compared to the last two installments.
Anyways, gurilla receiving $99.6 million from 1.66 million killzone 2 sales is good. Meaning killzone 3 could be on its way. Although I wish killzone 2 sales could've been better if there were more advertisements around. The game atleast deserve a 3 million sales worldwide.
