The clumsily named, Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy – due on PS3 and 360 next spring – has just been announced as the first title in Sierra Entertainment's exclusive global partnership with Ludlum Entertainment.

Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy is in development by High Moon Studios and is set to combine all the best bits of Ludlum’s best-selling novel and blockbuster movie The Bourne Identity, along with additional content.

Vivendi’s press release informs us that: “Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy, will give players the experience of becoming a 30 million dollar elite agent, fusing an experience that delves deep into Jason Bourne’s character with gameplay and game presentation inspired by the aggressive film making and frenetic action found in the films.”

Al Simone, senior vice president of global marketing for Sierra Entertainment (phew, what a mouthful!) said of the game, “Robert Ludlum's best-selling spy novel and blockbuster film adaptation have awed millions with riveting, unforgettable fiction… For the first time ever, players will be able to experience the shadowy world of expert assassin Bourne, who continues to find himself plagued by splintered nightmares from his former life.”

The game is a third-person espionage action game that promises constant tension and action, “with players adopting Jason Bourne’s piercing sense of survival, cunning nature, heightened target awareness and firearms training that allow him to engage and eliminate small armies. "Piercing sense of survival", eh?

What a way to ruin the book and film trilogy!

Why do games developers do this?!
Why can't they think up something new?!
I DON'T WANT MOVIE TIE-IN's!!
You freakin' mess them up!

I think the only movie tie-in game that I have is GoldenEye for the Nintendo 64. Now that was a brilliant game... But that is the only one I have related to a movie.

Nuff said.

And I'm going to go out on a limb here and say... This is going to be poo!!
