Short odds of 11/8 are offered on a snip of between £376 and £400, the system currently sells for £425 of course. This scales up to some fairly tempting numbers for there being no cut at all – a bet that will bring in an 8/1 return.

“Sony have come under some serious pressure going up against fellow big boys the Nintendo Wii and Microsoft’s Xbox 360,” commented Sharon McHugh, PaddyPower's spokeslady and apparent games industry expert. “If they want to increase sales and hold their position in the market they’ll have to bring their prices down a 'Wii' bit.” Companies are singular love.
