At Microsoft's E3 press conference last night it was announced that Gears of War will, a mite unsurprisingly, be heading to the PC. In case you're uber-paranoid, SPOnG has the first screens of the PC version to prove it to you.

OK, if you're that paranoid you might just think that they're 360 screens, but lets give Microsoft a little bit of trust. It does, after all, make eminent sense that Gears of War would be brought to the PC. The real good news here is that the game will be compatible with XP, not just Vista as has been the case with Halo 2. That said, SPOnG will be flabbergasted if those playing the game on Vista will be able to play against 360 owners via Games for Windows Live.

I'm glad that MS are realising so many of us still us XP. I'm happy with my 360 version though, I just hope we get that content that PC is getting, otherwise what's the point of letting PC and 360 gamers get online together.
