Rockstar's Table Tennis Heads to Wii
With Wii Remote Bats. Yay!

18 Jul 2007
If there was one game from last year that SPOnG wanted to see ported to Wii it was Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis – one of our favourite sports videogames of all time.
Well, now our Wii ping-pong dreams are about to come true, as Rockstar has just announced that it intends to bring a Wii version of Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis with full Wii-Remote table tennis bat functionality later this autumn. Yay!
"Ever since we released Table Tennis, fans have been asking us to create a Wii version," said Rockstar founder Sam Houser. "By bringing Table Tennis to the Wii and utilizing the motion-sensitive Wii Remote, a new audience can now experience a game that is beautifully designed and impossible to put down."
Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis is being developed by Rockstar Leeds in collaboration with Rockstar San Diego.

At the minute the only thing we know is that it will feature the Wii Remote bats. What else do we need! We'll be bringing you a full hands on preview the minute we can persuade the boys at Rockstar to let us through the door to play it.

You know something, if the Rockstar work this well, they could see huge global sales. There's no denying the casual gamers bucks are waiting for something like this.
This is the kind of western game that could sell well in japan on Wii, since there no proper tennis game for it yet. Good thinking Rockstar, you even beat Sega to this one.
tell me about it cant remember year with so much to look forward too and next year doesnt look like it will slow down. better remortgage the house and just hand big wads of cash to local retail store!
Sweet christs blood! How much does 'the industry' pay you?
It's a closed platform, rinse'n'repeat, blockbuster movie, imagination-free, safety zone,
You are both marketeers and I claim my free dreamcast.
