Kaz Hirai, the president and COO of Sony Computer Entertainment, is set to deliver the opening keynote for the Tokyo Games Show (TGS) this year.

His speech will be titled 'The Expanding PlayStation World, Business Strategy For New Growth'. It's expected that Hirai will unveil more connectivity between the PS3 and PSP. This follows the E3 announcement of the new PSP, which will enable gamers to remotely play video stored on the PS3 through a TV anywhere that has a wi-fi connection. SPOnG will be interested to see if the new PSP offers any other functions not available on the older model.

Hirai has a big act to follow. Last year his predecessor (and 'Father of PlayStation') Ken Kutaragi, kicked off TGS with talk of the PS3 curing disease and the announcement of the Japanese pre-launch PS3 price cut. World hunger maybe, Kaz?

Man, have they got big shoes to fill to get any decent response. Unless its that fat price cut for PS3, I don't want to hear what comes out of their mouth.
