What’s Going On With NiGHTS? New Screens Inside

The flying fantasy jester saves the children's dreams...

24 Jul 2007

What is the Wii title you are most looking forward to this year? Metroid Prime 3: Corruption? NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams?

Tough call, we know. Luckily, SPOnG will be paying a visit to SEGA early next month to finally get a full playtest with the mighty NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams.

Shortly after this we will be heading up to Nintendo’s swanky west end ‘Wii Flat’ to put some serious time in with Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. So, we finally can put your mind to rest over this vitally important Wii dilemma.

Right now however, fix your eyes on this latest batch of the latest NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams screens just in, featuring the two kids, Helen and Will, whose dreams your fantasy jester character is charged with saving as you fly through Nightopia, “a rich and vibrant world where dreams come to life.”

While we can only assume that these particular screens are from the CGI intro to the game, they still have us craving more. Gliding, spiralling, and looping control via the Wii Remote is where we hope and pray that NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will really, err, fly.

As SEGA tantalisingly informs us, “Gamers will experience a heightened sense of through seven mystical dream worlds packed with high-flying adventure. Players must find inventive ways to confront the “Nightmarens” from the neighbouring dark world of Nightmare using amazing acrobatic skills, freedom of flight, and other special abilities to protect Nightopia. NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is an adventure filled with courage, hope and inspiration that the whole family will enjoy this holiday season.”
