SEGA Rally: Techie New Video
Or: all about the deforming of surfaces

24 Jul 2007
This morning SPOnG came to the conclusion that blasting around in a flying car from the future is more fun than causing your girlfriend to urinate profusely in a Vauxhall Nova. We stand by that, but could blasting around the tropics in a rally car be even more fun still? After seeing this new video for SEGA Rally, we're mighty tempted to say 'Yes'.
Below you'll find Guy Wilday, director of the SEGA Racing Studio, talking us through some of the more technical aspects of the latest instalment in SEGA's arcade driving franchise. Once you've got over his unfortunate resemblance to Quentin Tarantino, you'll see him talk about a now-crucial aspect of any self-respecting next-gen driving game. Any guesses? Yup, that's right: surface deformation!
Once you've had your fill of tropical driving fun, head on over to SPOnG's dedicated SEGA Rally page to find out more.
And don't forget to read our interview with Guy right here.

Nice... Will have to check out the demo on my amazing 14" tv that nearly broke yesterday when I was moving the table it sat on, with my friend calling my mobile, and falling around 80cm. Tv be heavy... Floor be hard... Impact on screen would have equalled bad-ness.
Anyway... Yeah, should look alright even though I'm still using a stupid 14" tv... :-(
Spong editor's... Let me win your next competition where the prize is a nice flat tv!!
:-D
