Metal Gear Online: More Screens!

Beta testing to begin soon

25 Jul 2007

Konami appears to mean business with its recently announced Metal Gear Online for the PS3. The publisher has just released a fresh handful of screens for the game to compliment the shots SPOnG brought you yesterday.

Konami has also confirmed at the Metal Gear 20th anniversary event in Tokyo that beta testing for the game is set to start around August 20th in Japan and will run through to September 3rd. Somewhere in the region of 3,000 gamers will participate.

Like we said, Konami isn't messing around with this one. SPOnG has all available appendages stealthily crossed in the hope that we won't see Metal Gear Online's release slip endlessly into the future as we have with Metal Gear Solid 4.

This looks cool but who's got a PS3 to play this? Bravo to those that have. Should be interesting mission wise.

I have to keep asking myself, is MGS4 and MGS Online enough to get me to buy a PS3, when they could easily end up on 360?
