Lost: First Trailer And Details
Ubisoft has taken advantage of the San Diego Comic-Con to show off the first trailer for the game of Lost, as well as to reveal a few more scraps of information about the title.

It has been confirmed that the game will be released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and and PC. It will drop players into an “untold adventure” from the series in an interactive and (you guessed it) “immersive” world.

As you'd expect from a game based on the most infuriating program on TV, you'll need to unravel mysteries only to find more secrets. You will also have to “understand your past mistakes in order to survive and find your way home”. Translation: 'make sure there's a wall on hand against which you can thrust your head'.

Gameplay will involve solving puzzles, outfoxing enemies and doing battle with the smoke monster.

"The sense of adventure and suspense that we strive for in the show is also captured in the Lost video game," said Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, executive producers of the Lost television series. "Ubisoft has done a fantastic job and come up with a game that is visually amazing and imaginative both on its own and as an extension of the world of the show."

Of the trailer below, Ubisoft tells us, “Look out for messages. There's something going on when John Locke is on the computer.” SPOnG's already getting a migraine, and the game isn't even due out until early 2008. Wild speculation as to what the messages might be in the Forum, please.

Ubisoft's been rather busy with licensed properties of late. Earlier today SPOnG brought you the first screens from Beowulf, while the publisher is rumoured to be inking a deal to release a Heroes game and has bagged the rights to James Cameron's Avatar.
