Electronic Arts' upcoming PC shooter, Crysis, looks set to join what the company's called "Murderer's Row 2", or the Christmas run-up for the rest of us.

Speaking in a recent post-earnings conference call, EA's CEO Warren Jenson told analysts, "We are now planning to launch Crysis in early November". Previously, EA has committed only to a vague 2007 release date.

It's increasingly looking like a power line-up for games this Christmas. EA Games president Frank Gibeau has described the period as "Murderer's Row 2", pointing to heavy hitters such as Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 as big draws for our holiday cash.

Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli recently hinted that Crysis may find its way onto consoles. Talking to PC Gamer. He teased:

"It requires optimisation, that's what we've always communicated. What you would not do is make Crysis on PS3, 360 and PC for a single shipping date, because we would lose the quality focus. So I say, 'First PC version, then we'll see what happens'".
