In a recent interview Masaya Matsuura (PaRappa the Rapper among others) talks about how Sony’s robotic friend, Aibo, could reappear and interact with the PS3.

During his interview he let mentioned that, "The engineers behind the Aibo are doing the PS3. We are talking about making something like the new Aibo."

When asked if it would be able to connect to the PS3 he replied,"I don't know. Connection is not hard. I'm sure some engineer could do that."

The Aibo was a small robotic dog that could be programmed to do a number of simple tasks, as well as acting like a normal dog.

What an Aibo could do when connected to a PS3 can only be imagined, but if it acted like a much improved version of the NES’s R.O.B, it could react to games onscreen as well as be programmed via the console itself.
