PS3 Dual Shock 3 in October? First Image Inside

Rumblings from Japan: DS3 may launch with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue in November

22 Aug 2007

Finally! The rumble-equipped successor to the slightly too light SIXAXIS seems to be almost ready to make its entrance onto the PS3 scene, according to the latest issue of Japan's Dengeki PlayStation magazine.

The Dual Shock 3 will be compatible with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, which will be released in October, with this first image you see right here taken from Sony's official Japanese GT5 site.

SPOnG spoke with a SCEE rep this morning who told us that they still have no news on the planned release date for Dual Shock 3 in Europe, but we are bound to hear some announcements in the coming days from the Leipzig Games Convention.

It’s also not clear what we’re meant to do with all the old SIXASIS controllers that will become immediately defunct the day of the Dual Shock 3’s release. We can’t imagine that the trade-in value for them will be very high!
