New Xbox 360 Controllers This Week

Messenger Kit on Friday and Limited Edition Halo 3 Controllers soon

3 Sept 2007

Microsoft has just sent word that the Limited Edition Halo 3 wireless controllers will be released later this very month, on September 26 - the day of release of some game or other (err, Halo 3 – duh!).

But there's more - the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit (pictured) releases this very week, on Friday 7th September, to be exact.

The two Halo 3 controllers, Covenant Brute and Master Chief, have been designed by legendary comic book artist Todd McFarlane (Spider-Man, Spawn) and each come with a Limited Edition Halo 3 Master Chief figurine setting you back £34.99.

For the full Halo 3 'look' an accompanying Spartan green and gold Xbox 360 limited edition Halo 3 wireless headset will also set you back £34.99. Or, if you are a tightwad, you might just want to make a Master Chief helmet out of papier-mache.

Of more actual use, in SPOnG’s opinion, is the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit (pictured right), which includes a Chatpad and headset for a bargainous £24.99 - so, no more taking ten minutes to pen a short MSN message to your mates while trying to play BioShock!

While this chatpad is an awesome idea, I can't believe how many people haven't just plugged in a wireless USB keyboard?? It works a treat.

The problem there is that your keyboard falls from your lap when you jump off your chair to celebrate pwning another n00b by shouting obscenities at them.
