After a trickle of leaked screenshots, it looks like the Xbox sequel to Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden - released on the Xbox in 2004 - is about to be unveiled. Obviously this is not to be confused with the PS3's Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

Over on the American official Xbox website a countdown has started, running at five hours to go at the time of press. There's not a huge amount to go on, but the Japanese-style writing suggests a Ninja Gaiden 2 might be heading our way.

It could, of course, just be an announcement of some description, but the page seems a tad elaborate for that. You can see the page here.
