Japanese gaming bible, Famitsu, seems to have settled the issue, confirming that Namco Bandai is set to release a PS3 version of Eternal Sonata sometime next year.
Never fear though, European RPG nuts, because Atari is brining the 360 version of Eternal Sonata – referred to in hushed tones as ‘the Final Fantasy of the 360’ by many – to the UK this coming October. From what we saw at Leipzig it's should be a game that sweeps awards and gathers fans by the, ahem, score. It really does look extraordinarily wonderful.
The game's storyline is based around the last hours of (tuberculosis-ridden) Frederic Chopin's life, in which the composer dreams of saving a world filled with people suffering incurable diseases. Don't be fooled though, the brief look we had also suggests that it's bursting with harmonious gameplay.
See SPOnG’s Eternal Sonata page for more.
