A demo for upcoming racer SEGA Rally is now available for download on Xbox Live Arcade.

SEGA tells us:

"The demo features two quick race tracks taken from the colourful, steep sided Canyon environment and the gloriously muddy and downright dirty Tropical environment. Players will also have the choice of literally tearing up the deformable surfaces in either the Mitsubishi Evo IX FQ3 or the Subaru Impreza STi Spec C type RA."

The news is marred somewhat, coming not long after the tragic death of Colin McRae, the namesake of Codemasters' competitor rally series.

You can find out more about the deformable surfaces in question in this video.

SEGA Rally is due out for the 360, PS3, PC and PSP on September 28th. For more on the game visit SPOnG's dedicated game page.
