Metal Gear Online Bundled With MGS4

For Japan only?

19 Sept 2007

Metal Gear Online, the follow-up to Konami's Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, will apparently come bundled with Metal Gear Solid 4.

The news comes from Japanese gaming bible Famitsu, so it's unclear as to whether this bundle will be exclusive to Japan. SPOnG contacted Konami for confirmation, but no comment was available at the time of press.

Also revealed were a couple of details on new characters in the game. We've got Sunny, who apparently escaped the mitts of the patriots, and Trevin, who's weapon laundering skills will come in handy when Snake needs the ID wiping off a weapon.

Metal Gear Online will allow up to 16 players to compete in what will essentially be a big ol' game of hide and seek - with guns. Having seen what a good multi-player only PS3 game can do with Warhawk, SPOnG looks forward to it immensely.

I heard it was "Metal Gear Online Starter Pack" that comes with MGS4. Dunno what that is though- maybe you get a little taster and then can buy extra bits online for a tiny tiny fee. That would make sense.

yeah, I think it is a starter pack.

I'm pretty sure MGO is going to be a seperate title,
if only so that they can release it on the 360 as well.
