Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles – Latest Screens
Wii Zappers at the ready

20 Sept 2007
Check out the latest screens from Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles right here. Then prepare to get excited about shooting lots of zombies with a big plastic gun - the Wii Zapper - when the game finally launches in mid-November.
While American parents become increasingly concerned about the effects of innocuous plastic toys on their children, here at SPOnG we cannot wait to play through Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, following the all-too-short play we had with the game back at E3 in July.
To date, Capcom has sold over (an impressive) 30 million Resident Evil games worldwide.
Jack Symon, director, product marketing at Capcom, said, "The innovative controller functionality of the Wii will allow us to design innovative, original game play never before seen in a Resident Evil game. With The Umbrella Chronicles, we're adapting Resident Evil to the innovations of the Wii."

agreed RE4 Wii-mote type play is hella-cool, but i cant play RE5 unless it makes my eyes bleed in graphical goodness like each of its prequels, and damn if i will give up that eye bleeding joy for the sake of Wiimote play, so i would say, next time ninty make a cool inovation with top notch HD visuals and im sold all over again.

That's all nice & dandy, but just give us some RE4Wii type gameplay for your next game, will you Capcom? If you're not making RE5 for Wii, at least give us a "true" RE game next time.
