Atari’s The Witcher is pretty much set to be one of the PC role-playing games of the year, as it nears final release with the devs over at CD Projekt adding the final touches. Check the latest video below for a taste of some medieval witchery.

The game is based on the book series of the same name by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski and uses BioWare's proprietary Aurora Engine.

In The Witcher you play Geralt, a man who becomes a "witcher" — a travelling monster hunter for hire gifted with unnatural powers.

The game takes place in a beautifully rendered medieval underworld, with realistic natural light through the day and night-time and a perfectly modelled weather system (with lots of rain, so British gamers will feel particularly at home).
