Infogrames has named four new independent board members and the chief restructuring officer for ailing publisher Atari.

The chief restructuring officer will be Curtis G. Solsvig of AlixPartners, a manager with a history of helping what his bio describes as "distressed' companies.

Also named were Wendell Adair, Eugene I. Davis, James B. Shein, and Bradley Eric Scher as the independent directors.

They will join Evence-Charles Coppée, Jean-Michel Perbet and Thomas Schmider - the surviving members of Atari's board.

The move does not come as a shock, with Infogrames having vocalised its intention to remove certain board members earlier in the month.

The move is just the latest in a long string of events marking the once-venerable publisher's woes, including severe losses and the threat of NASDAQ de-listing.
