Guns And Dreadlocks - The Club Vid Inside
Plus: why The Club isn't about butterflies...
Posted 2 Nov 2007

You can't catch butterflies with guns.
SEGA has just unleashed a brand spanking new video for The Club. Guns and dreadlocks seem to be the order of the day. You can check it out at the very bottom of this story.
SPOnG remembers the last time we were abducted by a secret organisation to take part in a high-stakes, global competition: in our case, this was a nice, quiet, global, secret, high-stakes butterfly collecting competition. It was not the kind of violent, action-infused outing as The Club appears to be.
We truly earned our reputation as the most hardcore butterfly collectors in the world. In fact, the rewards were so high that we were wealthy enough to refuse a licensing deal from SEGA to make a game of our (largely non-violent) butterfly-collecting capers. Of course, we're not suggesting that's why the publisher opted to go for a more brutal theme in The Club.
All that said, having played through a preview of The Club, SPOnG's mightily looking forward to the full release when it hits next year.
