Rare: Banjo-Kazooie Not Cancelled

Other Microsoft titles still on the chopping block?

Bestest pals, still heading to a 360 near you.

Amidst the swirling uncertainty of rumours circulating that a first party Microsoft title is on the chopping block, SPOnG can bring you one rock of information: that title is not Rare's Banjo-Kazooie.

A source at Rare has confirmed directly to SPOnG, in no uncertain terms, that "It's definitely not Banjo".

The rumours have only intensified of late, with American magazine EGM's Shane Bettenhausen saying in a podcast, "A big Microsoft first-party title that has been in the works for a very long time, that people are very excited for, sounds like it's being cancelled."

Of course, a sizeable list of titles that might be up for the chop is left. Bettenhausen tells us that there's a (very exact) 97% chance of this rumour coming to fruition.

We don't get the logic either.

Pressed a little harder about what would be canned, our man or woman on the inside told us, "I haven't heard these rumours internally, so it could all be hot air for all I know".

Banjo was gormless Kazooie had the brains, a little know fact that Kazooie had studied at MIT for 5 years prior to meeting Banjo (at a drunken party one night) and has helped make huge advances in the field of outer space travel (as now used by Mario).
