The Wii gets its second taste of basketball (after NBA Live 08) this week with Konami's Double Dribble. Yes, that's basketball, not something you do when you get old like SPOnG's evil editor.

Originally released on the NES back in 1989, the game features full five-on-five action in classic side-scrolling style. Players choose from one four teams to do all that dribbling, passing and shooting stuff (Oh please!) to win the day. The game also features three levels of difficulty for those of us who were in remedial PE back in school.

There we go then... netball for blokes on Wii. Brilliant.

That's it for this week. Not quite the three or four titles we've come to expect every week. SPOnG hopes that this doesn't mean that Nintendo's running out of Virtual Console-ready titles. Hopefully the entire company just has a hangover after last night's Super Mario Galaxy launch shenanigans...

Anyway, this week's title puts the running total up to 164 titles on Virtual Console.
