Time Crisis Guncon: Better Than Wii Remote?
So says Namco Bandai...

30 Nov 2007
The producer of Time Crisis 4, Namco Bandai's Teruaki Minami, has gone on record to say that the Guncon 3 peripheral, bundled with the game, is much more accurate than the Wii Remote.
Speaking in an interview, Minami said of the Guncon 3 vs the Wii Remote:
"Basically it is the same, but Guncon 3's LED markers are actually much more accurate. Much better than Nintendo Wii's controller. In the Wii, there are only two LED points, but for the Guncon 3 there are six LED points, so it is more accurate than the Wii. The PlayStation 3 will be able to recognize the tilt of the Guncon 3, its distance from the monitor, and these things cannot be done with the Wii system."
So, not only is the Guncon 3 allegedly more accurate than the Wii remote, but it has motion-sensing functionality as well. SPOnG looks forward to seeing how the peripheral compares to the Wii Zapper.

In spite of his crowing about the Guncon 3, however, Minami did have some kind words for the Wii. "The Nintendo Wii has shown that there can be a new gaming control system", he said. "In the case of the PlayStation 3, we haven't seen that kind of stuff. We have only seen high definition graphics -- it's only an updated version of the PlayStation 2. And we know that a lot of consumers are a little bit bored with that kind of stuff, so we are trying to show a new style of game playing with the Guncon 3."

*sigh* here we are yet again...Someone speaking for all of us by telling us we are apparently 'bored' with HD graphics and rather have a Wii for its apparent better gameplay.
Please excuse me while I give this guy the middle finger.
All these games consoles have different features, and off different ways to play, games, online, add-ons etc its what sets them apart.
The Wii has just managed to attract the rest of the population on the planet that is not into gaming but has found the Wii's novelty rather enjoying.
I find Mass Effect's gameplay and visuals to be far more entertaining than anything on the Wii, I am sure many PS3 owners could say something about their game of choice on their platform that is perhaps more entertaining than any Wii title.
And lastly...Didnt this new Time Crisis get poor reviews?
