ASDA Outdoes Sony On PS3 Bundle Price
FIFA and Need for Speed thrown into the mix

31 Jan 2008
January's nearly at a close but, let's face it, we're all still feeling the pinch from Greedmas. To help out all those gamers that didn't get a PS3 during the holidays, ASDA has put together an offer that - in terms of value - outdoes the pick and mix bundle recently released by Sony.
Namely, if you get down to ASDA you'll be able to pick up a 40GB PS3 for its original price of £299, but with two games thrown in for good measure. Granted, you won't get to pick the games - ASDA's offering Electronic Arts' FIFA 08 and Need for Speed: ProStreet, but that's an impressive saving of £72.86 if you were to buy the PS3 and two games separately from ASDA.
An ASDA spokesperson said, "This is an amazing offer for all those gamers who were disappointed not to get the PS3 for Christmas."
Sony's recently announced bundle, meanwhile, will set you back £349.99 for the 40GB PS3 and two games from a first party selection.

ASDA's offer won't last forever, unfortunately. If you want it, you're going to have to scrounge together the £299 before February 3rd, with the deal kicking in today.
Does ASDA have too many copies of ProStreet and FIFA 08 on its shelves? Too many PS3s? Maybe the retailer just wants a leg up on the competition? Give us your thoughts in the Forum.

On-topic, fair play to Asda for a reasonably priced bundle. Shame the two bundled games are about as appealing as going for a drink with SuperSaiyan without taking several torture devices and a baseball bat.
Its worth getting the bundle and trade in the games for Drakes Fortune or something good.
SS4 please give us one insightful, thoughtful and coherant thought and proove you have some self repect and dignity, tell your self this, All right, brain, I don't like you and you don't like me - so let's just do this and I'll get back to killing you.
