European Xbox 360-Only Rock Band in May?
Confusion reins

It's good news for Xbox 360 owners, however, as rumour has it that MTV/Harmonix/Electronic Arts' Guitar Hero challenger will be released for that platform in May. Other consoles will have to wait until September (that's 'Setembre' in Euros).
Bad news for PS3, PS2 and, it has emerged, Wii owners. If you missed it, John Riccitiello, EA's CEO and director, said in a recent conference call of Rock Band, "But what’s probably the most interesting pieces right now is the coming launch on the Wii".
SPOnG contacted EA for the official line on Rock Band's release date for Europe, but found it very much in the air. "We don't have a definite release date", a representative told us. The rep wouldn't even commit to the assertion of Warren C. Jenson (EA's CFO, executive VP and chief administrative officer) during the aforementioned conference call that, "We now expect Rock Band to ship in Europe in Q109". The only concrete fact SPOnG was given by the rep was, "It will be after April 1st".
You can find out what SPOnG's Girl Gamer made of Rock Band right here.

Q109?? Is it me or does that kinda look like 1st Quarter 2009?? Where did you get May from??
From a financial year, which runs from 1st April to 31st March. The financial year is named after the calendar year at the end of the period. Q1FY09 is April, May and June of 2008.

You'll also want to budget about 2000-3000 MS points for DLC.
Rock Band has also recently updated via Live! and added an ingame music store, which features album graphics for each original track, audio previews, difficulty ratings broken down by instrument and as a band, links to packs where availible, and displays which tracks you've already downloaded, wether a la carte or part of a pack.
SO although I might suspect that it'd work, and it'd prolly be worth it, I'd use the money you'd save waiting for DLC...also, couldn't hurt to keep an eye out for a stool of some sort to use with the drums...I know plenty of people who play with a chair, even a chair with arms, but I strongly prefer a stool.

Anyhow not interested in Rock Band or Guitar Hero but nice to see Rock Band on the Xbox 360.
