BioWare's Sonic RPG: Coming September?
So say retailers
Posted 11 Feb 2008

BioWare's upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog RPG may be out in September if US retailers are to be believed.
Listings on the websites of US gaming retail giants (and sister companies) EB Games and GameStop websites show release dates of September 2nd for the mysterious RPG.
At the moment SPOnG would definitely recommend filing this one under 'rumour', however. We contacted SEGA for confirmation but were unsurprised to be met with, "I can't comment on that", by a representative.
Whenever the DS game (which is currently known as Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, although the title has not been confirmed) hits, it will be met with no small amount of interest. BioWare, which was recently bought by Electronic Arts, is one of the West's hottest RPG developers these days. Mass Effect certainly didn't hurt that reputation and SPOnG doesn't expect that working on one of gaming's biggest properties with do it any harm, either.

Bah, this is rubbish. They would never release it that early, just not enough time to build up hype for it.
Oh, and f**k EA and their years of buying everyone out. Microsoft and Sony aren't the future innovation killers like the other recent news item suggests...EA will be.

Whats needed is to get sonic back to its green hills roots, instead of sending him off to worlds cross with humans etc get him back where it began, Bioware could make this game amazingly good, if it is real fantasy, if the world is made up of true fantasy places full of wonderful animals and robotnics (please dont call him egg man) and mish mash or the two and huge world of sonic to explore, i really am excited for this game. i havent been this excited since i saw the first screens for sonic adventure on DC (imagine my disapointment :( )

I'm sure they will handle it well so long as they don't make it a turn-based RPG; that would just be absurd...

Sonic 1,2,3 and Sonic and Knuckles were awesome Sonic games, since Sonic went 3D imo it went all downhill.
I guess as I have gotten older I want Sonic to mature as well but then again Sega tried that with introducing Shadow The Hedgehog and throwing in guns etc - that was a mess up.
