Perhaps due to fears that Alone in the Dark might terrify timid gamers if it were released in the depths of winter, Atari is releasing its murky thriller in May. To keep that firmly at the front of our minds, the publisher has released this techy, new video.

Dubbed 'Real World Rules Tech Demo' (no, it's not an MTV reality TV show about attractive 20-somethings bickering and shagging each other), the video shows off the physics the game's proprietary engine has to offer. Not only that, but you'll get to see an inventory display that's startling reminiscent of that bloke down the pub who always tries to flog you dodgy Rolex knock-offs and stolen tampons.
