Since we did some fact checking on some of Florida lawyer Jack Thompson's statements last year, the crusader against video games - and facts - has decided not to talk to us. This is a shame as we looked forward to Jack's missives - especially when he cited us as co-conspirators with the likes of Take Two, the Entertainment Software Association, the Entertainment Software Rating Board, and the Entertainment Consumer Association.

So, we were a little disheartened to see that Mr Thompson has taken the fact that he's happy as a chocolate teapot user in a Cadbury's owned, fantasy planet that Electronic Arts is looking to buy Take Two Interactive to other media outlets.

Yes, GamePolitics is reporting that JT and EA are, according to JT, working together to ensure that downfall of Take Two and its CEO, Strauss Zelnick.

In an email quoted on GP, Thompson states:



So, Jack's working with EA? You might think this a strange partnership (we know we do) but you should remember that Mr Thompson has already defended Bioware's Mass Effect this year, and that Bioware is how owned by Electronic Arts.

We've contacted EA today to see just how long Mr Thompson has been working with the company in its bid to take over Take Two.

Now, bear in mind that Mr Thompson is currently a very busy Florida lawyer. Earlier this month, the Florida Supreme Court gave Mr Thompson until March 5th to put up or shut-up regarding, "numerous frivolous and inappropriate filings in this Court".

Since then - according to these two dockets (Case Number: SC07-354 and Case Number: SC07-80 filed with the Court - Mr Thompson has taken the whole deal Federal. In fact he has:



So, it's Mr Thompson goes Federal. We can't wait for more. By the way, in case you are entirely missing an irony mode - we don't think that Mr Thompson is working with EA.
