Because war is a violent symptom of the human condition and as such will never go away, Activision is releasing downloadable content for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in the not-too-distant future. Granted, the publisher has never expressly said that, but SPOnG's pretty sure that's the explanation behind it. It couldn't possibly be anything to do with making more moolah...
Anyway, in case you've forgotten that eternal truth, Activision has released some footage and screens from the upcoming new maps to remind you.

COD4 is a fantastic game, except for the SAS accents - sigh - some additional content will be welcomed opened armed.

What's wrong with the SAS accents? They're fairly representative of accents round my way. And the fact that it's Don Beech from The Bill aka Johnny Allen from Eastenders, and "Dirty" Dan from back in the Eastenders day (also "football hooligan bad guy from Stallone actioner 'Cliffhanger'" and more recently can be seen in Terminator-The Sarah Connor Chronicles) is a nice bonus. I thought it was great that they used genuine British actors, and decent ones at that, rather than rent-a-cockneys... imagine Captain Price voiced by Dick Van Dyke, for example.

Only a yank would not like the SAS accents...Tell you what I do hate is the impersonation of the English accent in Vegas 2 done when the black guy speaks 'Got the blighter' f**ks sake.

Bah, the "black guy" from Vegas 2, as you correctly point out says "Got the blighter." and mebbe has a couple of other lines, hardly anything to inspire hate...Even if you don't mind the accent at all Soap's "Let's do this..." at the beginning of every multi game as the SAS wears a bit after a while...

No I used 'got the blighter' as reference to the poor attempt at immitating an English accent, I hate it when yanks try to pull off our accents as it seems like they got something stuck up their arse when they do it.
