Capcom has forced SPOnG to take a break from our fascination with Chun Li's thighs. More specifically, it has dished up some fresh screens featuring one of the Street Fighter IV noobs - El Fuerte ("The Fort"). His thighs just don't hold the same appeal, somehow...

So, this is El Fuerte. He's a master of lucha libre ("Free Fight" or Mexican wrestling). Frankly, SPOnG's not altogether convinced that Street Fighter IV needed one. It's probably Jack Black's fault thanks to his part in Nacho Libre. Or it could be a political nod to the likes of Mexican fighters such a Super Barrio (he fights for the poor) or Super Gay (he fights for the gay).

Yes, we know, it's Jack Black's fault.

Anyway, you can see a smattering of the screens below, then turn to SPOnG's dedicated Street Fighter IV game page for the rest.

Your article needs correction. "Fuerte" in this sense does not mean "fort", it means "strong". Various web checks can confiorm this. Just thought you might want to know that. Thanks.

Ola, Neuco, first up, thanks for taking the time to comment. Secondly, aye, it does mean 'strong' because I doubt it means 'loud'. in this context.

I out-smart-arsed myself by checking for context elsewhere.

Points to you, sir or madam.

Cheers

Tim

Thank you Tim (and it's sir in case you're wondering). =)

If I'm not mistaken, this site is based in the UK? Maybe you were going for the Spain Spanish, which is the most proper form of Spanish when compared to Spanish from other countries. In this case, El Fuerte seems Mexican, and more then likely attributes to being "the strong one" or "strong man".

Thanks!
