The winners of the MCV Industry Excellence Awards have been revealed, with Nintendo leading the pack.

The platform holder swiped three of the awards - 'Games Publisher', 'PR Team' and the 'Grand Prix Award', which is awarded by the editorial team of industry bible, MCV, to the individual or company it feels has contributed the most to gaming over the last year. It's the third time Nintendo has bagged that one.

Other winners include Assassin's Creed for best new brand, Halo 3 for best game campaign and Codemasters for best UK development team. You can see the winners in full below.

The awards are voted for by (according to MCV) a panel "of over 100 of the industry’s most influential executives".

"The last 12 months has been an amazing – and often unpredictable – ride for the games industry”, said Stuart Dinsey, managing director of Intent Media, publisher of MCV.

"From the departure of Ken Kutaragi in April 2007, to this month’s launch of Wii Fit, it’s been an incredible year – and it’s been an honour for MCV to be right at the heart of the business yet again. The winners of a 2008 Industry Excellence Award can quite rightly claim to have been at the very top of their game – during gaming’s biggest ever year.”
