Spider-Man in Shadowy Trailer

Activision has released a teaser trailer for its recently announced new Spidey title - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. SPOnG has the goods right here.

The publisher isn't saying too much about just what the wall crawler is up against, but the slimy black stuff in the trailer looks suspiciously like it's born of Spidey's alien costume - the Venom symbiote.

What Activision has said about the game is that, as with previous Spider-Man games, it will be a free-roaming adventure. Various Marvel heroes and villains will pop up and players will be able to take on an anti-heroic role, swapping sides if they so desire.

The game is being developed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS, Wii and PC by Shaba Games (Tony Hawk's Project 8 on Xbox) and Treyarch (Spider-Man 3 on PS3/Xbox 360, Call of Duty 3 on Xbox 360 and PS2).
